Whiskey Island is Saved

  The Central New York Land Trust and Friends of Great Bear are proud to acknowledge the groundswell of community support for the 2016-2017 Campaign to Save Whiskey Island and Northern Great Bear.

 The property came up for sale and could have been lost but thanks to many individuals and organizations it is now part of Great Bear forever. 

We deeply appreciate the entities and individuals that recognized the need to preserve the land and generously continued the legacy of giving back with all those who contributed their time and talents that define the Great Bear Springs Recreation Area.
